With visa (subclass) 461, you can:
- live, work and study for 5 years in Australia
- travel to and from Australia multiple times until the validity of your visa
- include your family Members in the visa application if they meet Australia's health and character requirements

To apply for this visa, you can be either in or outside Australia but not under immigration clearance. However, if you apply in Australia, then you must be there while the DHA finalise your application.
Requisites of the Visa:-
- You are an eligible family member(Partner ,their dependent child, of a New Zealand citizen, the dependent child of their (or their partner's) dependent child, their (or their partner's) relative who does not have a partner, usually lives in the New Zealand citizen’s is dependent on the New Zealand citizen
- Your partner already holds either 444 special category visa or may get once he enters Australia.
- You are not New Zealand citizen.
- Hold good health or moral conduct.
- Do not have any outstanding debts on Australian government or must have arranged to pay the same if any.
Privileges of the Visa:-
- Allows you to study and work in Australia for up to five years.
- Allows you to travel to and fro any number of times while the Visa is valid.
